The starting point
Years of sun, snow, and weather had worn down the chalet's exterior. The decks, window frames, and sills had lost their finish, and the paint across the building had faded and begun to go. A chalet up north takes a beating a city house never sees.
What we did
We set up scaffolding to reach the whole exterior safely, then worked surface by surface, sanding the decks, frames, and sills back to sound wood before any paint went on. Prep is most of the job on exterior work, and we didn't rush it. Once everything was sanded and cleaned, we repainted the full exterior for an even, protected finish. Weeks of work, most of it in the preparation.

The result
A chalet that holds up to the weather again: clean lines, even colour, and wood that's sealed back up instead of soaking the seasons in. Exterior paint only lasts as long as the prep underneath it, and this one was done to last.
